The tutorials and illustrations are of highest quality you will ever find in a How-To-Draw manga. I don't actually draw in an anime style, more of an american style, I really love this book.What makes it different from other books I have tried about expressions is that it explains the details they changed and how they changed them, such as "eyebrows are slightly more arched than neutral". This makes it so much easier to us on a wide range of characters, vs. Just the character they have pictured. Also the expressions it teaches you are more diverse than other books. My favorite part about this book is that it also talks about the importance of head tilt in expression, which many books fail to mention. It's already made my characters more concincing!
Like the series this book is good to beginners. It gives you a of examples in an exhausting way, great to use as reference in a specific moment.This is not my favorite book, but the entire series make a great collection and they're always handy.

Tons of information! It doesn't just show faces it shows you how to draw whole bodies with more emotion and angles to increase the mood. It goes deep into detail with simple things that make all the difference in the end. I think it is much more useful than vol. 1
